Today I decided to work on the menu for the new shop I'm building. I really didn't like the idea of a folding menu because I'm only going to have 2 levels of categories, and even still, I wanted all menu items seen at all times for easier navigation. The code I whipped up goes is attached in a .txt file.
Instructions for use, simply change the top variable 'catalog_vid' to be your catalog's vocabulary id. This can be found at '?q=admin/content/taxonomy'. Insert the snippet into a new block and choose PHP Input Type. Bing Bang Boom, you have a menu that has descriptive header links, ready to be styled to your liking.
