I love the menus from my favorite Thai place in Seattle, Thai Tom. A good sized plank of wood with hand lettered ink on a rough surface.
Just found a photo of myself (left) and Evan Jacobs from our victory at the TechFlash foosball tourney.
Decided to enjoy some fresh local brews today. I think I enjoyed the Lazy Boy a bit more, though that could be because I finished the Pike brew first. Cheers!
TechFlash BBQ and Foosball Tournament! On July 28th TechFlash is hosting a Summer BBQ + a Ping Pong and Foosball Tournament. I can’t remember the last time I played in a Foosball tournament so I’m excited to say the least. Now its time to find a bar with a foosball table around here so I can practice. Oh ya, and a good partner would be nice too :)
I recently moved to Downtown Seattle and because everything is so easy to walk/bus to we gave back her Civic to her parents. Today I needed to go out of the city (Kirkland to be exact) to meet someone and so I decided to give Zipcar a try.
Wow, is all I have to say. You reserve a car for a set period of time, you flash your Zipcard on the dashboard and the doors unlock. Oh and if you don’t like carrying your Zipcard in your wallet, you can use your iPhone to unlock/lock the car. Seriously, your iPhone can UNLOCK the car you reserve.
At $9.50/hour its not exactly cost effective for every day use. However, it makes a saves a whole lot of cents when you consider the alternative of car payments, insurance, gas and $175 a month just for parking.
Seattle Startup Day 2009 Videos
I found a great set of video presentations from last years Startup Day in Seattle and wanted to share them with everyone. Enjoy!
On my way home from picking up dinner items at the Pike Place Market I stumbled upon the Maximus Minimus bbq pig. Too bad I had already eaten lunch. I’ll be following their facebook page so I can give it a try for lunch next time they are in downtown.
Working from zeitgeist coffee in pioneer square. Great scene down here. Loving #Seattle!
The Pink Door - Seattle Italian American Restaurant and Cabaret Lounge
I had a really great dinner experience last night at “The Pink Door”. I call it an experience because it was much more than a simple dish of pasta. The decor was very intriguing with all the antique mirrors on the walls. And since because we went on Sunday there was a trapeze artist performing different bits throughout the evening.
Combine the unique atmosphere with well prepared dishes of pasta and a great wine selection and you’ve got yourself an evening. I can assure you its one of the top rated restaurants in Seattle on Yelp and UrbanSpoon for a reason.
