Thoughts on Textile/Markdown vs WYSIWYG
I really agree with Justin’s thoughts on how a wysiwyg editor can really take away from the actual text you are writing. A major reason why we are using a CMS these days is the opportunity to allow the theme or visuals of a site evolve without touching the content or content structure. Writing content with semantic tags allows the site theme to easily change without any noticeable remnants of the old style.
