Some quick notes for future reference about setting up an Ubuntu 12.04 server environment on your Mac OS X machine running VirtualBox.
Enable NAT for connecting to the internet, then enable Host Only Adapter
Add the following to /etc/network/interfaces so that the host only adapter gets an ip address (adjust ip address to fit with your vbox settings)
auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
address 192.168.56.155
gateway 192.168.56.1
network 192.168.56.100
netmask 255.255.255.0
broadcast 192.168.56.255
Add the www-data user to the vboxsf group

Loving my new Herman Miller Mirra chair.
First of all let me say that Chapterboard has been one of the greatest tools my chapter has ever used. We are more organized than we ever have been and it’s great. Thank you all so much for putting the time and effort into making ChapterBoard what it is. —
Getting emails like this sure makes me feel good about what I’m working on.
Just in. Can’t wait to dig into it this weekend.
I’ve been using Spotify for the past month and I love that I can listen to full albums. To me, its the ideal way to listen to music from the bands I love. I just wish Spotify had a better way for me to tag and save albums into a collection. Right now, every time I open up their app I have to think about which band I want to listen to and do a text search to find the album I want. (Yes, I know there is a star feature, and technically yes I could create a playlist for each of the albums I like… but really?)
Second recommendation to improve the social functionality: let me respond back to a music recommendation from one of my friends! I love that my friends can send tracks back and forth, its freaking cool! But half of the time I end up going to facebook it self to send back a response to an incoming track.
That’s it for my gripes. Like I said, I love the service and will likely upgrade in the near future.
